About me

I have lived in Greece since 1993. Many years ago I visited this wonderful country for the first time. Then I saw its picturesque landscapes. I was immediately won over by the mild, warm climate. And the incredible hospitality and sincerity of the local people touched me to the depths of my soul. After that I fell in love forever... I fell in love with Greece. It was love at first sight! And there was even more: a great history, mythology and breathtaking monuments of antiquity. It was easy to decide to stay longer and learn more about this heaven on Earth. That’s why I’m still here.

Since then I have come a long way, from simply falling in love with this country to feeling that I have become its cultural ambassador, opening its rich heritage to the world.

If you decide to visit Greece, let me show it to you through my eyes. I’m sure you’ll join the Greece lovers club too!

Introductory walking tour

The heart of ancient and modern Athens

  • Up to 3 hours
  • Entry to the temple and the stadium is optional

I invite you on a fascinating walk that will show you Athens from a new side. We will pass through the centuries, from the grandeur of ancient ruins and the elegance of 19th-century neoclassical architecture to the lively rhythm of the modern city.

What we will see along the route:

  1. The Athenian Trilogy. Our route features three masterpieces of neoclassicism: the National Library, the University of Athens and the Academy of Athens. You will see how the spirit of antiquity was revived in stone in the 19th century.
  2. The Parliament building. In Syntagma Square we will stop at the impressive building of the Greek Parliament and watch the famous changing of the guard by the elite Evzones at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
  3. The National Garden. A peaceful green oasis in the very centre of the city, where you can escape the noise among exotic plants, cool paths and ancient remains.
  4. The Zappeion. A grand palace inside the National Garden, the first building in the world constructed specifically for the revival of the modern Olympic Games.
  5. The Panathenaic Stadium (Kallimarmaro). The only stadium in the world built entirely of white marble. The first modern Olympic Games were held here in 1896.
  6. The Temple of Olympian Zeus. A grand project that took more than 600 years to build. Even the columns that survive today impress with their scale and the former grandeur of the largest temple in Greece.
  7. The Arch of Hadrian. A triumphal arch that once marked the symbolic boundary between the ancient classical Athens of Theseus and the new “city of Hadrian” built by the Romans.

National Archaeological Museum

The National Archaeological Museum in Athens is not just a museum, it is a portal to the past where legends come alive.

This is where the world’s first “computer” is kept, a mysterious mechanism that was centuries ahead of its time.

Here the treasures of “Golden Mycenae” await you, shining through the ages, the ones Homer himself mentioned.

Stunning frescoes from Akrotiri, the Greek Pompeii, and a unique collection of bronze and marble statues that seem alive tell their stories and adventures...

This museum offers a unique opportunity to trace the whole history of ancient Greek civilisations, from the moment they were born, through the millennia.

Corinth

Corinth, the majestic city of two seas, whose wealth amazed the ancient world. Discover the ancient city that stood at the crossroads of trade routes. It was ruled by wise tyrants and by Roman emperors; it was razed to the ground, yet it rose again from the ashes.

Many gods were worshipped here, but the heart of the city was the majestic Acrocorinth, the place where Aphrodite, goddess of love and beauty, was honoured. Her legendary sanctuary at the top of the fortress was a place no sailor could pass without stopping.
